"Did Niantic create a honey pot for Bots?"

#PokemonGO: For any one that does not know, scanners that show rares are mapped by using botted accounts to swap between spawn points. According to tracker communities, level 30+ bots are not picking up spawns other than commons like geodudes and swinubs. This is the first step to combating bots / spoofers in the long run. Hear me out. The past month:1) Niantic makes it so that only level 25+ accounts get the same IV / Movesets of a Pokemon. It gets changed to 1-29. Bot creators make mass level 30+ accounts through PTC and scan for IVs.2) Water / Grass event happens. Interesting to note that no new shinies gets introduced.3) 30+ Bot Accounts are flagged during this time (We dont know this at this point), some have warnings upon log in.4) Niantic gives the community a two day heads up about the rock event mentioning Larvitar spawns increasing.5) The rock event hits and once again there is a Larv orgy (Like the Dratini) for an hour. You can bet every bot creator is trying to snipe high IV Larvitars over the globe. Hour two, PTC goes down. 2 days later, the flagged bots are shadowbanned, unable to see anything but commons.According to tracker admins, bots using the new API can see rares again but its nice to see progress. It would make sense they would curb spoofing / botting before they make the summer "Legendary". via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2rquS2z
