"Ever drop Pokemon in Gyms just so others can get Pokedex data?"

#PokemonGO: If I just took a gym myself, or if it is low prestige, I'll usually drop my Mr. Mime into the gym. Since I'm in NYC, I figure it gives other players the chance to, at least, see it for their Pokedex. I've seen Farfetch'd, Kangaskhan, Heracross, and Mr. Mime (before I caught one) through this method. Also, it helped me see a lot of rares before I got them for myself (Muk, Charizard, Ampharos).I only need to see a Corsola and Unown to have seen all available. Does anybody else drop regionals, or rares that aren't typically used (Steelix, Politoed, Slowking, Ampharos), into gyms just so others can grab the 'dex data?
