"[Idea] Breeding done right: Improvement to legit gameplay"

#PokemonGO: So maps are going down hopefully soon which is a good thing. Spoofing will probably always be a thing but in my opinion and from my experience of mmos and Pokemon the best way to combat cheaters is to decrease the urge to cheat. To be honest the moment maps go down completely I will probably lose more and more interest to continue playing apart from Go+ pressing while running because... it's super boring to always catch the same 10 Pokemon for weeks and months. :(The same goes for the main series and as dedicated Pokemon player in the end I always spend a huge amount of time for breeding and this is exactly what we need here.Breeding done rightIt should be very similar to how it is done in the main series:Same: Hand in 2 Pokemon. Male and Female or anything + Ditto.Different: The main series has breeding groups. I guess that's to complicated for mobile gamers. So only Ditto + same species.Slightly different: In the main series 3 of 12 (accounting both parents) IVs will be passed down to the child. If we directly adapt this to Go we will get 1.5 of 6. Given the work that is needed to breed a huge amount of eggs 2 of 6 IV (2 parents with 3 IVs each) should be fair as a slight increase compared to the game. Best would be 1 IV stat of each parent passed down to the child. This also means 1 IV of the bred Pokemon will always be random which functions the same way as giving a Pokemon the destiny knot in the main series.Eggs should be handed in either by the Prof, the Team Leader or maybe someone completely new and it should ask you in case your Egg space is full if you want to replace another egg with the bred egg. Or reserve 1-3 slots space for breeding eggs which don't get filled by Pokestops.Idea: You meet up with someone, get within Bluetooth range, and you both pick a pokemon to breed. your two pokemon get paired up, the mother species is what the egg will turn into. Amazing idea from /u/Darth_Massey.The effect on the gamePros:If you work hard and walk a lot you will get many eggs and breed many eggs and hard work should always be rewarded. It's not next to impossible anymore to get your favorite in good IVs without maps or bad locations! All you need is at least 1 through luck and a Ditto. It makes exploring more interesting again. Typically active Go players always grind the same spots because exploring is completely unrewarding which is super sad in my opining. But with a breeding system if you want to work towards a goal all you need to do is move. And Niantic wants us to enjoy the exploring and augmented reality part and this would be a huge step in the right direction. It gives people more motivation to buy incubators to breed Pokemon faster which means more money for Niantic to keep up the game. One should never underestimate the economical part. It's fun. You will be happy every time your bred egg hatches because you won't get some mantine or whatever you are sick of seeing.ConsMore advantage to paying customers because of incubators. But to be honest it's still fair ground. There should be boosts for people that spend a lot of money. At the moment the strongest boost is driving with a car to rare Pokemon found by maps. Uh. Niantic gains nothing through this, the p2w advantage is even stronger and it's bad for the environment.Needed adjustmentsEggs should give lesser candies of course. Reason is obvious. The buddy feature might be replaced through breeding. But to be honest one can keep both. A buddy works similar to the pickup ability and should always be present.Feel free to add ideas and criticisms to it so I can fine tune the op post. :) via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2qZHOM4
