"[IDEA] Walking to find items"

#PokemonGO: Niantic's main goal is to get people out and moving. Yet a lot of the game revolves around stationary Pokestops. As we all know this makes life difficult for rural players. My idea is that every 1km you walk you have a random chance of finding one item (Balls, Potions/Revives, Berries, Eggs, Evolution Items). This would be ultra simple to implement, but you could take it further and incorporate Pokestops, i.e. when you tick over your 1km, app checks if any Pokestops in range: none in range = x3 items, 3 in range = x2 items.Has anyone suggested anything like this before? I had a search, apologies in advance. What does everyone think? I think it could be a quick fix whilst more rural Pokestops are rolled out. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2rEaXhd
