"Rare Spawns near busy roads and on Interstate Highways:"
#PokemonGO: I have now caught over 15000 (15136 in to be exact) pokemon and hatched exactly 1000 eggs and started playing on 7/12/2016. One thing I have noticed about this game that bothers me is the distribution of rare spawns I see on sightings or run into while playing this game. My biggest gripe with this game is many of the rare spawns I have caught are always on busy highways and other high traffic roads and not at parks and other outside recreational places. On a drive home yesterday on a very busy highway around the NYC area, I connected my go plus because for some reason I can see pokemon on sightings, and on that trip alone as a passenger, I saw 2 instances of larvatar on sightings, and 3 dratini on sighting in a course of about a 15 mile trip along 2 separate highways. Last time I was a passenger and using my go plus, I saw 2 more dratini's on sightings while on an interstate highway. In total, I have caught 42 dragon type pokemon, and at least 10 of these catches were at stop lights on busy roads where no one really walks, and near on-ramps to large interstate highways as a passenger in a car. I have caught 1 larvitar this event at a stop light before we got on a major highway as a passenger. Let me just say that this is not an isolated incident, and I have noticed this similar type of rare spawn distributions traveling all over rural upstate NY, all over northern and southern New Jersey, and around the New York City area for the last few months.I find it quite troublesome that I can spend a day with my family at state parks all over New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, and not see a single rare spawn day after day. I have not seen a dratini spawn at the park near my house that happens to be a water type biome in 3 months! And I walk in that park regularly at least 2-3 times a week. As a matter of fact, I have never seen a rare spawn other than dratini's in that park. The reason why I am posting this is because I think there is a very serious problem with rare spawn distributions in this game. I think it is dangerous for this type of rare spawn distribution and I think it is something that needs to be changed. Here are some of my statistics from my game play: I have only caught 2 larvitars in this game ever, 1 was in a parking lot waiting for someone to use the bathroom and the other was at an on ramp. Both were caught during this event.I have caught ~10 dratini’s around interstate highways.I have only ever caught 2 Snorlax’s, and one was next to a busy road I happened to be walking by one day.I have seen exactly zero mareep spawns thus far.TLDR: If you want to catch rare pokemon and you live in the NY, NJ, PA area, walk along busy roads and interstate highways. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2qLw7bd
