"Since we know Niantic is on here now - this event's launch was a botch"
#PokemonGO: Just like the water event, an extremely rare and powerful Pokemon was allowed to spawn for several hours before its numbers were crushed. While this brief moment of bliss was occurring, a huge portion of your player base couldn't log in, yet again. Those logging in with Google accounts claimed Larvitar after Larvitar, while PTC users were left sitting and waiting. Once they were finally able to log in, the Larvitars were already gone. I, for one, have still yet to even see a single Larvitar in the wild or hatch one from an egg (another problem altogether), and I am not alone. Whether or not we should have been able to get one today, the fact that we couldn't while the other portion of the player base could really stings. To make it worse, we know the response will be essentially "oh well", if met with words at all.Start giving these issues greater forethought. If you don't want a certain Pokemon available, adjust the numbers accordingly at the start of an event, so your players who simply cannot afford to play don't feel left out. Additionally, take care of all of your players equally. If communicating with The Pokemon Company is necessary to ensure the upkeep of the PTC, do so. If it's on your end, make the necessary changes.Scenarios like this, trivial or not, are disappointing and disheartening.2:17 AM CST Edit - To all you Euros just getting your day started, I understand the added suffering. It's just extra easy in this case to illustrate the problem as an American, because I supposedly live in the target timezone. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2qxmZag
