"Any advice for someone late to the party?"

#PokemonGO: I just got the app. Level 2. A year late to the craze.I'm wondering what you would say to a total newb looking at their first Pokemon game with fresh eyes. What did you wish someone told you? If you could wind back the clock to when you first started, before you learned all the technical mechanics, when you were discovering the game for the first time, back when your Pokedex was like really, really empty, what would you tell yourself to savor about the novel experience while you still can, before you start to see through the game's arithmetic as a seasoned veteran?I'm fascinated by the variety, particularly the climate-specific habitats: water Pokemon at the Beach, woodsy Pokemon in the woods.Other stuff has me more anxious, like the decision of which team to join.
