"[Complaint] Android PTC players haven't been able to play for almost a whole day now!"

#PokemonGO: Cross-posting from r/TheSilphRoad because the mods there have deleted it, probably for not being "positive" enough:I and all other Android users who have PTC accounts have been unable to play since yesterday. This is far from the first time that the PTC login system has stopped players from accessing the game, but this is by far the longest outage! The fact thats its happening during the last day of a limited time event is just salt on the wound.Although some compensation would be nice, what we really need a permanent solution to this issue, namely, being able to migrate our accounts over to the Google authentication system. And no, players going to third party sites and side-load older versions of the apk is NOT an acceptable solution (this is currently the only way for Android PTC users to play).Personally, I won't be giving any more of my money to Niantic until this issue is resolved to my satisfaction, and I invite all the users affected by this (and everyone else too!) to join me in order to make Niantic understand that they can't treat their customers this way (to date I've spent about $20 on the game, which may not much in the grand scheme of things, but I'm not just complaining about a product I use for free).I think we would all like a response on this, /u/nianticgeorge and /u/nianticindigo ..... Whats is Niantic going to do to make it up to us, and more importantly, what are they going to do to make sure this problem doesn't get repeated?Edit/update:/u/teknrd has received a response from Niantic to his support ticket indicating that a fix should be coming in sometime today:"Hello, On June, 19 PDT, some Trainers using Pokémon Trainer Club reported issues accessing Pokémon GO on Android. Our team has been actively looking into this issue and working on a solution. We will be rolling out a fix that we anticipate will be out to all affected users by the end of the day today.Jasmine Niantic Support"This has been confirmed by posts on reddit by /u/nianticgeorge and /u/nianticindigoIts nice that the service should be restored soon, but as I already said, what we want to see is a plan for making sure this isn't repeated. Also, the affected users lost an entire day of the event, which should also be addressed in some way.Update #2:It appears that the event will be extended until tomorrow and we should be able to play again once we get the new patch. Hopefully those of us affected by the outage will be able to catch their coveted pokemon tomorrow before the event is over, but Niantic really needs to up their communication game. I only found out about the event extension from a post on another subreddit and not from the threads where we are begging for answers. Still no word on being able to ditch PTC and migrate accounts over to Google. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2smqhxX
