"Game Freak is brilliant."

Guys, before you crucify me, please listen to my reasoning.Remember when BW2 came out for DS? How mad was everyone that the newly released 3DS didn't get that game?? They're doing this again. Not only are they giving the 3DS a last send off, but they're not crowding the 2017 release schedule. For those of you like me -who were hoping for GenIV remakes-, this gives us a way higher chance that they now appear on Switch instead of 3DS. They're giving us an honestly decent spin off game in the mean time, and sequels to tide us over (which gives them extra time to work on the Switch game). Besides, there is such a huge shortage of Switches right now available to buy or actually in the wild because they can't produce them fast enough. They would be knee capping Pokemon sales if they released it this year.They could totally surprise us and go completely 3D, brand new area/story that nobody is expecting because we're all so riled up about a GenIV remake. Don't get your knickers in a twist my dudes, the good stuff is on the way.EDIT: Hey lads, E3 is next week.
