"Question / Discussion: Why does the gym error due to GPS drift exist?"

#PokemonGO: Tonight I went after a level 8 gym (+35 k prestige) that had only 4 Pokemon. Normally, it takes me 30 minutes to take down a level 10 gym, so taking down this gym should've been no more than 15-20 minutes. Instead, it took over an hour due to constantly being kicked out of battles because of the GPS drift. It was especially infuriating when it happened right at the last battle, costing me the bonus 1000 points for beating the last defender. And to top it off I get locked out of the gym for 5 minutes every single time! I remember that they changed from 10 to 3 a while back, and now it's 5!So my question is why? Why does this exist? What possible benefit is there when Ninatic fully knows that the current GPS technology is lacking in that area? I'm just baffled by their failure to address this issue. What would be the harm in allowing someone to continue the battle to the end as long as they have not moved to far away from the gym? And why punish us by locking us out for 5 minutes? The only people this hurts are legitimate players, while spoofers don't have to deal with it. Honestly Ninatic, it's as if you wants to became spoofers! via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2rd5Cf3
