"Analysis of why players below Lv 20 should not be getting raid pokémon at level 20.0"
#PokemonGO: Currently players can enter a raid if they’re level 5 or above. For the majority of their pokémon experience, they will be catching kritters at their level or below.Raids change that because currently they give all players level 20.0 pokémon – no matter if you’re level 7 or 37. For a price of 100 coins ($1) you can get a pokémon outside of your league if you happen to be in the right crowd.Below is a table showcasing min and max CP for legendary pokémon at level 20.0 taken from Gamepress with average CP to show one number rather than a range.LevelPokemonMin CPMax CPAverage CP20.0Articuno1450.671676.181,56320.0Moltres1630.231870.061,75520.0Zapdos1660.991902.961,78220.0MewTwo2425.092720.082,57320.0Mew1532.281762.201,64720.0Raikou1672.221913.721,79320.0Entei1706.471950.161,82820.0Suicune1392.681613.451,50320.0Lugia1802.422056.201,92920.0Ho-oh2371.032657.252,51420.0Celebi1535.941766.131,651I’ve highlighted MewTwo and Ho-oh which—if legendary raids follow the same rules as normal ones—will create a likely situation where a new player (or as we know what sometimes happens, new account for gym edge / future sale) with the right friends (or bots) can acquire a very high CP pokémon. There isn’t a single wild pokémon at level 10 which can reach 2,000 CP and above. Those pokémon can be used to attack gyms immediately, on those low player levels. I think this creates the biggest power creep we’ve yet seen in Pokémon GO – people who played this game for months will be caught up by the new players who can skip level and candy requirements to get end game kritters.Do you have a possible reason why Niantic didn’t scale down raid pokemon’s level to player’s level or at least made pokémon of a much higher level unusable in battle until player catches up? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2sEzEXl
