"[Discussion] People making fun of this game and Pokemon as a whole..."

#PokemonGO: I just thought I'd say that I just heard my younger brother and his friends make fun of me for going on Pokemon GO or enjoying the franchise for the 100th time and it is seriously making me annoyed... I've heard people at school making fun of it, being annoying and feeling like they HAVE to comment that "pokemon s*cks" or "pokemon's for kids/is a kids game". Well, I've been overweight my whole life and just thought I'd say since the release, I've been losing much more weight, walking much more often, etc. As for the main series, I've had aspergers for my whole life and since playing online, I've made a load of new friends as well as discovered a whole community. And people around the world are making a living competing against each other in tournaments (e.g. VGC), against each other in battle spot or wifi battles. So I seriously don't understand how people can make fun of Pokemon. Also, I know this may be a bit overdoing it but if anyone makes fun of pokemon, I'll never become a friend and will likely stay as far away from them as possible, unless they have a realisation about one of the biggest series in the world.
