"The Buddy System and its place in the game"

#PokemonGO: The Buddy system was a great feature when initially added. It helped me evolve a number of Pokemon. However, the game has moved on since then. Most serious players have already or are nearing the completion of their Pokedex. For any leftovers, a new feature reigns supreme, Rare Candies.Rare Candies have seriously impacted the usefulness of Buddy Candy. A Legendary Raid offers between 5-20 Rare Candies which equates to up to 100km walking distance for some Pokemon. This issue will be breiefly addressed when Gen 3 comes out. People will walk the 1km Pokemon and maybe some of the 3km ones but one month after release the same issue is presented. Now onto the point of this post, which I promise isn't just moaning.Buddy candy should provide additional bonuses to separate itself from traditional candy and the easy to get Rare Candy. My proposal(which received a lot of support here http://ift.tt/2uNrjmo)Is that Buddy Candy should allow for power ups without a Stardust charge. I believe that will give the Buddy System a useful place in the current system without changing anything too significantly.A user in that thread mentioned something I didn't even consider. This would be an actual way to 'train' Pokemon. Something the game currently lacks.TL:DR....... Let Buddy Candy be used for Stardust free power ups. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2v8uRSE
