"TIFU by forgetting my own Pokémon's ability"

(Disclaimer: I don't know what flair to put this as, so Info)So tonight I thought it would be a good idea to start breeding for a VGC team. I decided to start breeding for a Mandibuzz, as I wanted some tailwind support. After poking through my PC boxes, I found that I didn't really have any suitable breeding partners for it, so I decided that I should go chain myself a Ditto, because I didn't have a high IV one just lying around anyway, and I know it will help in the future.I do a bit of planning ahead, and come up with a chaining setup that works like a charm. I lead the battle with my Klefki that only knows recycle. Switch to Kadabra, trick a leppa berry onto it, then switch to Patsy, my Golisopod. Those of you who have used Golisopod before are very familiar with where this is going.I continue chaining Dittos, dealing with the occasional imposter as it comes up, and get to a chain of ~60 Dittos. Next thing I know, a shiny pops up. I quickly kill the "Klefki" that's just been sitting there using recycle for the past 30 minutes or so, and start to false swipe the shiny Ditto. After it used transform, I false swiped it below half health. Emergency exit triggered. Now I not only let a shiny get away, I also wasted a decent amount of time and didn't even get a good breeding ditto to show for it. via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2eDflYc
