"Worse performance after update"

#PokemonGO: So, enough time has passed so I am able to say that this is not just something momentary. Since the gym update came PokemonGO go a lot more ressource hungry and worse in terms of performance and bugs. Atm I am playing on a low speed mobile connection, since my volume has been used, and it never was this bad before. Let me list some very annoying things I've stumbled upon:when trying to revive pokemon the app is sometimes freezingwhen trying to heal pokemon the app is sometimes freezingwhen trying to delete items the app is sometimes freezingwhen feeding pokemon the app is sometimes freezingwhen interacting with a gym next to you, sometimes you are kicked out and land on a overworld screen which cannot be moved and neither does the gps work anymorewhen entering a gym fight sometimes the whole app is crashingwhen on a low speed connection pokemon spawn sometimes only after one minuteHave you noticed any more bugs or bad behaviour since the last update? Do you think PokemonGO will become unplayable with a low speed connection?
