"[Discussion] Raids are awesome, thanks largely to live-maps."
#PokemonGO: I highly encourage Niantic to release their own official live-map for gyms and raids, or at the very least partner with an existing provider so they can release it as an official platform for their area. This is an example from personal experience: we have 200 players in a facebook group that drive around our small city (pop: around 90k) going to gyms doing raids. There are almost 100 of us out on the weekend and anywhere from 40-60 on weekdays, while the rest of the group are more "casual" players or work at odd shifts. Point being, we all play because of a live-map that serves our area. Our area is blessed with ~30 gyms but they're spread throughout the city, not within walking distance. It would be impossible to know when raids are happening without maps. It is not reasonable to suggest that we have to drive around looking for a raid, we may not find one or we may find one already ending. Not only that but driving around a busy city with your phone out is incredibly dangerous. The convenience and ability to coordinate people's schedules when you see them pop on a map are marvelous. Not only do maps allow us to travel safely but they also provide incredible revenue. We ALL spend money on the game because of raids. Anywhere from 15-20 raids per day is average for a weekend for one person here. Add on the amount of us that are running incubators (at least 30-40%) and you're making a lot of money, simply because we know where to go to play the game.Niantic, please release an official source or partner with existing providers to keep this experience going for the future. This would avoid the TOS violations and create a more technologically friendly environment on your part by easing server usage etc, thank you. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2uvtAFI
