#PokemonGO: Pokemon Go has 3 problems that I believe can be addressed here:1) The list of Pokemon relevant in the current meta is a small subset of total Pokemon2) Once you earn a gold badge in a gym, there's not much more to do with that gym3) It can be hard for people in high turnover areas to earn coinsMy proposal is to implement Pokemon Stadium style Stadium Cups. In Pokemon Stadium, you can battle in one of four competitions: Pika Cup, Fancy Cup, Poke Cup, and Prime Cup, each with their own level maximums. I believe this system can easily be translated over to Pokemon Go with CP restrictions.1) Pika Cup: Maximum CP 800, no final evolutions of 3-evo Pokemon2) Fancy Cup: Maximum CP 1500, no Snorlax / Blissey or legendaries3) Poke Cup: Maximum CP 2200, no legendaries4) Prime Cup: No restrictionInitially you can only place defenders in one cup. Bronze allows two, Silver three, and Gold all four. Coin rewards are scaled by difficulty - 1 coin / 40 minutes, 1 coin / 30 minutes, 1 coin per 20 minutes, 1 coin / 10 minutes. Multiple teams can control each cup, but there might be an item bonus if your team controls all four.This system creates a need for potent, lower CP Pokemon, and expands the set of useful Pokemon.
