"[Idea] for Trading/Breeding"

#PokemonGO: I originally posted this idea as a comment in a thread about trading at /r/thesilphroad. I got such good feedback about it and a mod suggested that I post it over here for more visibility that I decided to do just that.Here is the original comment:At this point, I hope they don't introduce trading. I'd prefer that breeding take it's place. Basically, trainers go to a pokestop and put up Pokemon to breed in an interface similar to raids lobbies. Other trainers can then breed their Pokemon with those and they'll get an egg that they have to hatch like normal.This gets rid of the ability for bots to farm perfect IVs and trade them for money. You also can't trade them as a proxy for candy. It allows for regionals to make their way around the world without it happening instantly. It encourages people to meet up and talk at the stops.Another benefit that I thought of after the post is that this encourages more walking than trading would. Someone else pointed out that this prevents legendaries from moving accounts.I think everything beyond what I've described would be an implementation detail for Niantic to figure out and I'd probably find just about anything that they come up with as acceptable. A few ideas that I did have were:Allowing people to leave their pokemon behind until they are bred or some other event releases themBoth trainers could get eggs or the first trainer who lobbied their pokemon could get stardust equal to the max value of the egg produced and the second trainer could get the egg.The release for the egg/pokemon could be based on when the second breeder would get another egg from spinning a stop, e.g. they spin a few stops and then the next egg they get is the egg from breeding and the pokemon left behind are returned. This could also be limited to this particular pokestop, putting a delay in increments of 5+ minutes on retrieving the egg.The egg could be 100% chance of the first pokemon's breed or the female's breed. It could also be a 50/50 split between the breeds or some ratio based on the rarity of the breeds, e.g. breeding pidgey and Aerodactyl would give you a 90%+ chance of getting a pidgey, but Skarmory and Aerodactyl might only be a 60/40 split. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2vquYs3
