"Inventory Optimization"

#PokemonGO: Long time listener, first time caller.I was looking through my inventory today and noticed that I still don't really have a handle on how to balance the different things in my storage to have optimal utilization. I only recently maxed my bag space after GoFest and I'm still almost always at a full bag. I'm trying to keep a lot of rare candy on hand because I don't have much else to use it on but I don't know how to balance it with the other item categories.How is your inventory distributed and what is your normal play motivation (gym focus, raid focus, dex completion, etc)?
