"Is there any reason Legendary Pokemon shouldn't be allowed in gyms?"

#PokemonGO: I know before they were released a lot of people were complaining about how they will break the meta but seriously, they are not the best in class for anything, can be used for attacking anyways (which is what many of them are better at), and nothing can truly defend anyways if you have the right counters.Even if you could place the mighty MewTwo into a gym as a defender, it will face the same problem of motivation decay being massively accelerated by its high CP (maybe even more so than anything we can place into gyms currently) making it not very difficult to beat just by waiting until an hour or two after it has been deposited, or using a couple strong Bite/Crunch Tyranitars against it full strength.If there is no serious advantage to the Legendaries, could we get the ability to put them into gyms?
