"Evidences of debunking the trainer-with-the-hightest-CP-mon-in-the-raid-has-higher-capture-rate-if-throwing-first dumb theory?"

#PokemonGO: I don't know if this is something worldwide or if it's just here, but in Milan people are OBSESSED with this highly illogical "theory" (mandatory quotes, 'belief' is much more accurate). According to them, the player who gets the raid mon with the highest CP after defeating the boss, has a higher capture rate if he gets to throw the first ball among all of the trainer in that raid. (Many also say this magic bonus would also apply to all trainer if we let highest-CP-trainer to throw first).Basing on what evidences, do I ask? "it happened to me/mycousin/sometrainer X times this week".Ok. I try to put this on a more scientific-method level, "it happened X times out of how many?" "did you check everyone to be sure they hadn't throw yet or you just assumed it?" "what about the times you failed, did you use this method?" but there's just no reasoning with them, they KNOW it's like it.People believing this usually also believe in the DON'T-PRESS-THE-OK-BUTTON-AT-THE-END thing. Now, on this second piece of superstition I can slap in their face concrete evidences we found debunking it (thanks /u/bilde2910 and his great analysis: https://redd.it/6w8lix ).Do we have concrete evidences I can slap on their faces about this idiocy too? I guess that in the super-unlikely event there was something true about it, it would be something on the server-side, therefore near impossible to check aside via data collection and statistics, which is a log and not absolute process.Ps: seriously, you should see how they scream in Barbarian Greater Rage if they see you throwing a ball or pressing the ok button before they say so, destroying everybody's chance to get a legendary mon. o_o'Pps: yes, it wouldn't cost much to me to just wait, but I hate this attitude and even on small things like these, it gets people used to a non-scientific method, based on superstition. And it's bad for the world. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2eSvx5b
