"Gen 3 Predictions: Move Sets of Fully Evolved Pokemon (Castform - Walrein)"

#PokemonGO: Hi and welcome back to Gen 3 Predictions. These are a weekly post to promote discussion about potential movesets for Generation 3 Pokemon. You can find links to the other posts below.Sceptile to ShiftrySwellow to ExploudHariyama to ManectricPlusle to CameruptTorkoal to SeviperLunatone to MiloticPurposeOne of the big changes that came with generation 2 was a move set reshuffle. New moves were added, most older moves were adjusted and re-balanced, and older Pokemon had their learn-able moves change. I decided to take a look at Generation 3 Pokemon and see if I could predict what might be in store whenever generation 3 launches. Something to keep in mind is that moves as we know them will change so for example, Fire Spin/Overheat may no longer be an amazing move set and Heat Wave could become the Outrage of Fire and now reigns king. One thing to note, I am disregarding wildly out of place moves (such as Solar Beam Typhlosion or Fire Blast Slowking). While I am sure they will happen, I see no point trying to predict them.MovesHere I will include a list of new moves I am predicting we might see with Generation 3. You will see these moves throughout my posts. I will not guess the DPS or damage of them, just that they will make an appearance. This will only update to reflect moves I plan to cover in the current post or have been covered in previous posts.MoveTypeStyleAbsorbGrassQuickAqua JetWaterQuick (Was Charge)Arm ThrustFightingQuickBlaze KickFireChargeDisarming VoiceFairyQuick (Was Charge)Earth PowerGroundChargeFacadeNormalChargeFairy WindFairyQuickHigh Jump KickFightingChargeKnock OffDarkQuickMagnitudeGroundQuick*Muddy WaterWaterChargePursuitDarkQuickSky UppercutFightingChargeSlashNormalChargeWater SpoutWaterCharge*Not fully committed to the idea that it will be introducedCastform - Normal - Max CP: 1486Attack: 139Defense: 139Stamina: 140Predicted MovesQuick Moves:Water Gun: Castform is most likely going to be one of the smeargle/delibird/ditto types for Generation 3. There may be some weird gimmick introduced for Castform but assuming there isn't I will try and guess moves. Castform's ability changes it's type depending on the weather and the three main weather types are Rain, Sun, and Hail. Sandstorm is another but it doesn't seem to impact Castform. I expect Castform to have three Quick moves to match each weather type. Water Gun matches rain.Ember: This is for Sunny weather.Powder Snow: This is for Hail.Charge Moves:Hydro Pump: If weather is introduced, Castform will get Weather Ball as a unique move that changes depending on the weather. That being said, I don't imagine weather being introduced just yet or at all so I assume Castform will get moves to match the other weather types. Hydro Pump matches Rain.Fire Blast: For Sunny weather.Blizzard: For Hail.Current Available MovesQuick Moves:Ember, Hex, Hidden Power, Powder Snow, Tackle, Water GunCharge Moves:Avalanche, Blizzard, Body Slam, Energy Ball, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Future Sight, Hurricane, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Ominous Wind, Scald, Shadow Ball, Solar Beam, Swift, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Water PulseKecleon - Normal - Max CP: 1924Attack: 161Defense: 212Stamina: 120Predicted MovesQuick Moves:Lick: Kecleon is another interesting Pokemon because of it's Ability which changes it's type to whatever most recently attacked it. That being said, that does not really impact moves and so I will continue to guess at it's move set. Lick is thematically fitting and one of the first moves Kecleon's learn.Scratch/Feint Attack: Both very common moves and are learned naturally. Shadow Claw and Astonish are also likely however I didn't think that Niantic would double up on Ghost Quick moves for a Normal type.Charge Moves:Psybeam: May seem out of place but if you played the original games, you will remember Kecleons and their annoying Psybeams.Ancient Power: Another strange one but another one that is a common move for Kecleon and learned naturally.Slash: The most common Normal type move for Kecleons and the only STAB charge move I expect it to receive.Current Available MovesQuick Moves:Astonish, Charge Beam, Counter, Cut, Feint Attack, Fury Cutter, Hidden Power, Iron Tail, Lick, Low Kick, Mud-Slap, Rock Smash, Scratch, Shadow Claw, Sucker PunchCharge Moves:Aerial Ace, Ancient Power, Aqua Tail, Blizzard, Body Slam, Brick Break, Dig, Dynamic Punch, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Foul Play, Grass Knot, Ice Beam, Ice Punch, Icy Wind, Magic Coat, Psybeam, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Shadow Ball, Shadow Sneak, Solar Beam, Swift, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thunder Punch, Water PulseBanette - Ghost - Max CP: 2073Attack: 218Defense: 127Stamina: 128Predicted MovesQuick Moves:Hex: The only Ghost Quick move that Banette learns naturally but still a very likely candidate.Sucker Punch/Feint Attack: The only other Quick moves that Banette learns naturally and both are common moves for Banettes.Charge Moves:Shadow Ball: One of the stronger Ghost moves Banette learns naturally and is the most likely strong Ghost move unless Phantom Force is introduced.Shadow Sneak: The other common Ghost move that Banette learns and a very common move for Banette.Dark Pulse: Banette's natural move pool is pretty small and Dark Pulse is not included however it is one of the more likely non-natural moves for Banette.Current Available MovesQuick Moves:Astonish, Charge Beam, Feint Attack, Hex, Hidden Power, Infestation, Mud-Slap, Shadow Claw, Sucker PunchCharge Moves:Body Slam, Dark Pulse, Dazzling Gleam, Foul Play, Gunk Shot, Hyper Beam, Icy Wind, Magic Coat, Night Shade, Ominous Wind, Psychic, Shadow Ball, Shadow Sneak, Thunder, ThunderboltDusclops - Ghost - Max CP: 1335Attack: 124Defense: 234Stamina: 80Predicted MovesQuick Moves:Hex/Astonish: The two most likely Ghost type Quicks moves for Dusclops.Feint Attack: Not learned naturally but a pretty common move for Dusclops. Additionally, I would expect Banette to receive Sucker Punch and Dusclops to receive Feint Attack.Charge Moves:Shadow Ball: The strongest Ghost type move that Dusclops learns naturally.Future Sight: The strongest move that Dusclops learns naturally and a likely candidate for Pokemon Go.Dark Pulse: Similar to Banette, not learned naturally but could be a likely candidate.Current Available MovesQuick Moves:Astonish, Charge Beam, Counter, Feint Attack, Hex, Hidden Power, Infestation, Mud-Slap, Rock Smash, Sucker PunchCharge Moves:Blizzard, Body Slam, Brick Break, Bulldoze, Dark Pulse, Dynamic Punch, Earthquake, Fire Punch, Future Sight, Hyper Beam, Ice Beam, Ice Punch, Icy Wind, Night Shade, Ominous Wind, Psychic, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Shadow Ball, Shadow Sneak, Thunder PunchTropius - Grass/Flying - Max CP: 1846Attack: 136Defense: 165Stamina: 198Predicted MovesQuick Moves:Razor Leaf: The only Grass Quick move Tropius learns naturally.Air Slash: The only Flying Quick move that Tropius learns naturally.Charge Moves:Solar Beam: The main Tropius Grass type move that Tropius learns and unless Leaf Storm or Leaf Tornado are introduced, the most likely candidate for Pokemon Go.Stomp: A very common move for Tropius and a fitting move thematically.Aerial Ace/Air Cutter: Not learned naturally but both are possible Flying Charge moves for Tropius.Current Available MovesQuick Moves:Air Slash, Bullet Seed, Cut, Fury Cutter, Hidden Power, Mud-Slap, Razor Leaf, Rock Smash, Steel WingCharge Moves:Aerial Ace, Air Cutter, Body Slam, Bulldoze, Dragon Pulse, Earthquake, Energy Ball, Giga Drain, Grass Knot, Hyper Beam, Leaf Blade, Leaf Storm, Leaf Tornado, Ominous Wind, Outrage, Seed Bomb, Silver Wind, Solar Beam, Stomp, TwisterChimecho - Psychic - Max CP: 2095Attack: 175Defense: 174Stamina: 150Predicted MovesQuick Moves:Extrasensory/Confusion: The main two Psychic type moves that Chimecho learns naturally. If I had to guess, I would choose Extrasensory.Astonish: One of the first moves learned naturally by Chimecho.Charge Moves:Future Sight: Chimcho does not learn a single current Charge move naturally so I am guessing the most likely options of moves learned through other means. Not learned naturally but a very likely candidate.Shadow Ball: Again, not learned naturally but a very likely candidate.Dazzling Gleam: The last guessed move. These three moves are common options for giving Chimecho some coverage but none are learned naturally.Current Available MovesQuick Moves:Astonish, Charge Beam, Confusion, Extrasensory, Hidden Power, Zen HeadbuttCharge Moves:Dazzling Gleam, Energy Ball, Future Sight, Grass Knot, Icy Wind, Magic Coat, Psychic, Psyshock, Shadow Ball, Signal Beam, SwiftAbsol - Dark - Max CP: 2280Attack: 246Defense: 120Stamina: 130Predicted MovesQuick Moves:Bite: The most fitting dark move that it learns naturally however Sucker Punch is more often used so it may replace Bite.Psycho Cut: A very common move on Absols and also a naturally learned Quick move option.Charge Moves:Night Slash: The strongest Dark type move Absol learns (Other than Sucker Punch). Could also end up being Foul Play however that is not learned naturally.Slash: Another fitting candidate for the newly introduced Slash. Naturally learned and a commonly used move.Future Sight: The strongest move Absol learns naturally. A strange option because it is rarely used but it is very fitting for Absol's lore.Current Available MovesQuick Moves:Bite, Charge Beam, Counter, Cut, Feint Attack, Fury Cutter, Hex, Hidden Power, Iron Tail, Mud-Slap, Psycho Cut, Quick Attack, Rock Smash, Scratch, Shadow Claw, Snarl, Sucker Punch, Zen HeadbuttCharge Moves:Aerial Ace, Blizzard, Body Slam, Dark Pulse, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Foul Play, Future Sight, Hyper Beam, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Magic Coat, Megahorn, Night Slash, Play Rough, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Shadow Ball, Stone Edge, Swift, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Water Pulse, X-ScissorGlalie - Ice - Max CP: 1945Attack: 162Defense: 162Stamina: 160Predicted MovesQuick Moves:Bite: Glalie has a pretty common biting theme going so Bite is pretty fitting and learned naturally.Ice Shard/Frost Breath: Both are pretty common options for Glalie and are both learned naturally.Charge Moves:Crunch: One of the last damaging moves that Glalie learns naturally and a fitting move thematically.Blizzard: The strongest Ice type move that Glalie learns naturally.Icy Wind: The only other Charge move that Glalie learns naturally but also a pretty common move for Snorunts.Current Available MovesQuick Moves:Bite, Frost Breath, Hex, Hidden Power, Ice Shard, Powder SnowCharge Moves:Avalanche, Blizzard, Body Slam, Bulldoze, Crunch, Dark Pulse, Earthquake, Gyro Ball, Hyper Beam, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Iron Head, Shadow Ball, Signal Beam, Water PulseWalrein - Ice/Water - Max CP: 2606Attack: 182Defense: 176Stamina: 220Predicted MovesQuick Moves:Water Gun: One of two Water type moves that Walrein learns naturally and the only Quick move.Powder Snow: The only Ice type Quick move that Walrein learns naturally and a very common move for Spheals.Charge Moves:Brine: The only other Water type move that Walrein learns naturally and a fitting move.Blizzard: The strongest Ice type move that Walrein learns naturally.Body Slam: A thematically fitting option for a walrus.
