"I hate raiding"

#PokemonGO: I think raiding is the stupidest thing Niantic has done, and they've done a lot of stupid, stupid things with Pokemon Go.Before people tell me, 'you don't have to raid' - well, yes, if I want Mewtwo, I now have to raid. The same could be said of the legendary birds that were dropped, but you could previously be way more selective in which raids you wanted to run, if you don't like raiding.But that completely changes with Mewtwo. It's like a lottery, of sorts, where I'm forced to get lucky THREE TIMES in order to actually acquire him. First, I have to do enough raids to get an invite. Since Mewtwo raids are EX raids, there's no telling which raids I need to do. And since they haven't given us an exact timeframe of when I need to have completed the raids, I have no idea of knowing how often I need to do them. Added to that, even if I'm lucky enough to do the right raid within the right time, I still have to get lucky to even catch Mewtwo.This whole concept is so idiotic, I can't believe it's not being more heavily chastised here. The entire concept goes against Pokemon and against Pokemon Go.The game used to be 'walk everywhere, catch everything you can, spin all the pokestops you find'. Now it's literally, 'get on Facebook/Discord/Slack, find out where people are headed, drive there, stand for 10mins mashing your phone, go home'. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2jcA0Eq
