"Still no encouragement of gym attacking"

#PokemonGO: I'm surprised Niantic hasn't added further incentives to attack enemy gyms. My only motivation left for gym play is getting all gyms in my playing range to gold - but within the next weeks this goal will be accomplished. I wonder why Niantic does not provide additional +50 coins a day for taking over gyms. That would massively increase the gym play and total time spent playing the game.
