"Tip: Beware Mewtwo's Attack Animation!"

#PokemonGO: PSA: Mewtwo has a very counterintuitive attack animation. Be warned, travelers!I was one of the lucky few to get to participate in an EX raid this past weekend. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity, but I ended up leaving emptyhanded: Mewtwo ran from me after I used my 10 balls. The primary reason: his attack animation is much more deceiving than I anticipated.I am not an elite ball chucker by any means, but I am above average. Nearly every throw that I take my time for (AKA raid bosses) is a Great curveball, with some excellents sprinkled in.So I was completely flummoxed when it took SIX balls to finally successfully connect on Mewtwo. Four of the first five bounced right off him (the other was an ill-timed double jump, so he leapt over it). Took me a minute to figure out why: his attack animation is very confusing. I had watched videos of him ahead of battle and thought I had it down, but I obviously still did not. Once he swipes with his arm and pulls it back to his side, there's a window of a couple seconds that even though there is no visual indicator from his rendered sprite, he is still considered in his attack animation, and balls will bounce right off his noggin (as happened to me). By the third throw I was delaying an extra second and it was STILL not long enough. I had to wait until what felt like a very late throw before they finally started sticking, and by then I was down to only five balls. Three great curves, a nice curve, and finally an excellent curve on the last ball and he was gone in a puff of smoke.When you get a chance to face him (hopefully soon!), take your time. Watch that attack animation half a dozen times before you even try to throw a ball. I cannot remember the last time I was so unsuccessful in hitting a target.Learn from my mistake! There are no more gut-wrenching words in the game right now than "Mewtwo ran away".Good luck, travelers.
