"Arcanine may be more than just the "Legendary Pokemon""
Right, so, about a month ago a friend in a Facebook group decided to bring up the age old "is Arcanine a Legendary" question I'm sure most people here are sick and tired of hearing at this point. So was I. So I decided to do some digging. A bit of research later, and I came up with a few pieces of information I have NEVER heard before in ANY conversations on the topic. So, in celebration of my first Shiny ever, which just so happened to BE a Growlithe, I thought some people here might get a kick out of my response post:"By most standards, most prominently the games, he doesn't match qualifications for a Legendary Pokemon. (Limited amount per game, cannot breed, significantly high base stats, etc) He's The Legendary Pokemon, but not quite a Legendary Pokemon. Also worth noting, in Japanese, while the pronunciation directly translates to Legendary, the word "Densetsu" when written with the characters "でんせつ" is, in and of itself, a pun containing characteristics of a dog, specifically "Den Se" (Training) and "De Setsu" (Care/Loyalty). Makes sense for aids of Pokemon Officers, huh?"I hope some people find this interesting. It's something I've not seen discussed before, and thought it was worth sharing! via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2g26X2p
