"Has anyone else realized the Alola Starters' Hidden Abilities contradict their signature moves?"

Decidueye - Long Reach, turns contact moves into long-range moves. Its signature move, Spirit Shackle, is already a long-range move, so the move gets nothing out of its Ability.Primarina - Liquid Voice, makes all sound-based moves Water-type. Its signature move, Sparkling Aria, is a sound-based move, but is already Water-type. In fact, it's the only signature move of the three that is categorized based on the starter's primary type (Water) instead of its secondary type (Fairy).Incineroar - Intimidate, lowers the offensive stat of opposing Pokemon. Its signature move, Darkest Lariat, has the special effect of ignoring stat changes from the opposing Pokemon. Now this one doesn't technically limit the move's use like the other two (as Intimate lowers the opponent's offensive stat and not its defensive stat), but I still think it's funny how the starter with a move that ignores stat changes gets a Hidden Ability that changes stats. via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2xf5PyZ
