"[Research] PoGo+ And Berries (and Shinies?)"

#PokemonGO: Okay, I tested this last night...Find wild Pokémon.Give Pokémon a Pinap.Run.Use GoPlus to catch Pokémon. After screenshotting my candies for three different Pokémon (because the buggers kept running away), finally got lucky and caught a Cubone. So, we know berries stay persistent across the entire spawn of the Pokémon (until you hit it with a ball, of course). If I had manually went back into the encounter, the berry would have still been active. The Pinap is the only berry that I could see the effects of outside the encounter. So, did I get double candy for the PoGo+ catch? No. Sadly.Which makes me wonder - does this count as a separate encounter, or does the game simply not allow berries to affect PoGo+ catches? What I'm wondering is, can we double our chances of getting a shiny? Click on a Duskull for encounter #1 - not shiny. Run and let PoGo+ encounter the Duskull for encounter #2. Obviously, this could be tested for weeks and we'd never know if we were just unlucky or if it doesn't work... but, just brainstorming ideas. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2hoUuGJ
