"Still on Potion and Revive Drop Rate and 2 Item Per Pokestop"
#PokemonGO: Hi all, last week, I've created a post regarding how the drop rate of potion and revive seems to have drop, here's the link to that post, http://ift.tt/2y0Ey2R days later, fellow Silphraod /u/joshwoodward confirmed this, here's the link, http://ift.tt/2yITarp this has been confirmed, I would like to add my own data to this. I'm posting 4 pictures of 4 days driving around just to spin pokestops and gyms. The gyms in this picture are all golden gym only, so the number of items drop are more. Also, I am still experiencing the 2 items per pokestop, which significantly affect the data collectionThe link to the picture below are divided into 4 days;http://ift.tt/2y0k7Ty describe, there are 44 total spins of both pokestops and gyms. 23 spins from gold gym and 21 spin from pokestop. I did not separate different potions, berries or balls to make it simplerThe data in table format as per belowSpins from both Pokestop and GymItemAmountPercentageBerry7426%Ball16257%Potion3011%Revive186%Total284100%Spin from Pokestop onlyItemAmountPercentageBerry2622%Ball7967%Potion108%Revive33%Total118100%Spin from Gym onlyItemAmountPercentageBerry4829%Ball8350%Potion2012%Revive159%Total166100%As you can see, drop rate for potion is only 11% while revive is only 6%. The table also shows that even a gold gym shows a significant drop in potion and revive. This data is still small I'm sure in comparison to /u/joshwoodward, but I just want to show that it is true that the drop rate has change. With Niantic's silence regarding the drop rate and also the 2 items per pokestop (which many are still experiencing), I can only speculated that Niantic is doing this on purpose, either for a test, or permanently.Discussion and debates were presented between players who accept this as a good change, with argument that with more balls means more pokemon can be catch, and those, including myself, that hope the drop rate would be more balance, at least not 11% for potion or 6% for revive, for a balance gameplay. If (and this is a BIG if) Niantic is moving towards a direction of pay to advance, or a money-centric game app, those without purchasing power, will be left behind, not that it wasn't before, but even more now.Thank you for your time, hopefully this entry give you an idea how to proceed from this point, if the changes are permanent. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2xYGaiG
