"[idea] 5 birds 1 stone: Niantic needs to reintroduce a new and improved "training" system, where you battle for stardust, bonus balls, and to discover the egg's identity before an upcoming raid."

#PokemonGO: New training system (the stone):After the raid egg appears, three separately themed NPC trainers occupy the gym (e.g. youngster, hiker, bird catcher), which are stronger or weaker depending on the egg tier. Trainers battle the NPCs for stardust and other rewards. Stardust is scaled between 250-750 depending on the CP of your lineup relative to the NPC (similar to how gym prestige used to scale). Each NPC provides stardust as a reward. For trainers with gym control, defeating NPC 2 reveals the egg's identity, and NPC 3 provides a bonus premier ball for the upcoming raid. For trainers without gym control, NPCs 2 & 3 each provide a bonus premier ball.Issues (the birds to be stoned) and how the new training system fixes them:Ace Trainer medal is permanently stuck --> Now you can train up to 3 times before any raid. It's hard to coordinate in advance of a raid when you don't know what will hatch or can't agree on a time --> Now trainers can share the egg's identity and groups will want to schedule the raid for when the egg hatches/training ends.Trainers who chose an underdog team disproportionately lose out on bonus balls --> Now those players can earn 2 bonus balls.A lot of Pokemon/types are hardly used because they are not part of the meta --> Now NPC lineups feature Pokemon/types that are rarely used as defenders, and trainers wanting to maximize stardust rewards will utilize a variety of lower CP Pokemon. The only way to collect stardust is a grind --> Now trainers can gain stardust through battling. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2jdA7Qr
