"Life After 40 - Repeating Rewards / Daily Challenges / Player "cards""

#PokemonGO: So Ho-oh introduced me to level 40 yesterday. Thanks, you beautiful big bird. That's got me thinking, what's next? I have no need of XP and haven't for awhile due to the Pokémon cap. I don't see an elegant way of continuing along the path we are with exponential leveling requirements, but inevitably I think that it needs to happen.Or, we need incentive to look at players in a measure beyond player level...I want daily challenges. I want to show off how I like to play (lots of walking here). I want rewards for continuing to gain XP and motivation to play (aside from my natural love of this game). The daily challenges I feel have been talked about, so I won't go on much about those aside from a badge/medal system associated with them.Additionally, why not throw me a reward bundle every few million. Balance those rewards with how much XP has been gained post 40. I'm not asking for much here, no second infinite incubator, but even a one use incubator would be nice. Of course, tie in some badges/medals here too.So why do I keep talking about badges/medals? Fill up that empty space on the gym battle screen with the top accomplishments of the player. Maybe it's gym battles, maybe it's hatching eggs, maybe they've completed 100+ daily challenges. It'd be a way to get to know the playstyles of players and you could show off what you're most proud of (even when a Pidgey is defending a gym).We need more to show for the way we play this game, how we want to play it.I think if the player level cap is raised without implementing more medals and badges, we'll inevitably find ourselves where it doesn't matter because it's so insanely high to level or even power up a Pokémon. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2AjM0vq
