"Niantic is out of touch not just with the playerbase, but other events of the Pokémon brand."

#PokemonGO: From what I'm reading all of November's events are in Korea or Japan. However, the rest of the world gets no events, and to me, that makes no sense.I know for a fact that people who watched, or are going to watch, the "Pokemon: I Choose You commercial" get a QR code for a special hat Pikachu in Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon based on the hat Pikachu is wearing in the movie. I know we had the Ash hat Pikachus during the anniversary event, as well as the recent witch hat Pikachus, but I mean the assets for the I Choose You hat Pikachu wouldn't be that difficult to port in.It'd be nice to have even just a short (around 2 week) event like this as a small token of appreciation for the player base, a shout-out to some of the long-term fans of the franchise, and a good way to ramp up anticipation for the release of Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon on the 17th. However, Niantic being who they are...I'm not just going to reiterate the point that many people have made how Niantic's out of touch not just with its player base. At this point I'll extend that statement too--Niantic is out of touch with the Pokemon game makers themselves.EDIT: To those who I may have unintentionally left out of consideration: I apologize, I was trying to make light of the events of GO Fest to anyone who still remembers it. I've rewritten the post to make it clear that this is a world-wide problem and removed any mentions of a specific area.It just doesn't make sense that Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon, the last games of Gen 7, are going to be released in under two weeks and a game which shares the same brand has no cross-promotion or even so much as a mention of them. Considering the games were announced in June, couldn't Niantic have planned to do a short cross-promotion between the Halloween and Thanksgiving/Black Friday events? via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2zibfgA
