"Rotom's talking far too frequent? Especially after he asked to call me something else?"
I don't see much people actually talking about this, and it's surprising, maybe it's because people have already tuned him out, or it's less of an issue for others? In the previous game, Rotom was borderline nonexistent, he didn't have any use other than being a talking pokedex, and only gave the occasional one liner every now and then, that you could skip by just tapping at him.In this game, he basically has the O-powers from gen 6, but instead of just having them on you like in those games, you have to interact with him in order to get the boosts, which you obtain as consumables you can hold onto. That being said though, he wasn't all that bad starting out, until he had began to speak up about using items every single time my Pokémon weren't topped off on health, among other things, like suggesting that I save etc.Things started to get a bit extreme out of nowhere however when Rotom pops the question of if he could call you a nickname. I believe he asked me this around the third island, and I accidentally agreed without looking, and just trying to tap through it, I dunno if he asks you this sooner, I've honestly been avoiding responding to him lately. So In my case "Roto-N". For some reason, agreeing to this seems to increase the frequency of his one-liners to a bizarre degree, and now on top of that he continually spouts "tips" about using items and stats and all that junk when I'm already on Poni island in terms of progression, it's really weird to be on the verge of confronting Necrozma only to have Rotom start spouting a tip about using items. On top of that, up until I had agreed for him to call me by a nickname, I had never read a "tip" about anything within the game from him up until that point either, it's always been him asking a random question, or responding to what happens in the story.I've also noticed that Ever since then, His eyes haven't gotten to that droopy or sad state, and asked me any questions, it's like the function just completely disappeared, and I can no longer answer any questions that prompt him to spin the Roto-Lotto. via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2zXDejM
