"The end of the 3DS era of Pokemon games"

So I read that GameFreak has confirmed in a JP IGN article that Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon will be the last 3DS Pokemon game ever. The next title will be on the Switch....Does this make anyone else besides me a little sad inside? I've played Pokemon ever since Red/Blue/Yellow, and I somehow always thought that it would always mainly stay a handheld game."But the Switch is also a handheld!" Well, it probably is. But for me who doesn't have one yet (I've yet to see a reason to buy one for my tastes) it just looks like a console with the ability to play as a handheld. That's just me though, maybe I'll change my tune when I finally do get a Switch (likely when the new Pokemon comes out).I dunno, I'm just having a whole lot of mixed emotions.
