"How I think Pokedex Entries are formulated."
This is just my theory and I would love to hear your's.Whenever you catch a Pokemon the information gathered by your pokedex is relayed to the professor and along with any other research he has done, a pokedex entry is filled. The reason why they are different for each region is that each professor's research is differentLet's compare Alakazam and PersianAlakazam's Leafgreen entry - Its brain can outperform a supercomputer. Its IQ (intelligence quotient) is said to be around 5,000.Persian's Leafgren entry - Although its fur has many admirers, it is tough to raise as a pet because of its fickle meanness.Professor Oak seems to research how each Pokemon functions in relation to humans.Alakazam's Crystal entry - It has an IQ of 5000. It calculates many things in order to gain the edge in every battle.Persian's Crystal entry - Behind its lithe, elegant appearance lies a barbaric side. It will tear apart its prey on a mere whim.Professor Elm seems to research how pokemon function in battle.Alakazam's Emerald entry - While it has strong psychic abilities and high intelligence, an Alakazam's muscles are very weak. It uses psychic power to move its body.Persian's Emerald entry - A Persian's six bold whiskers sense air movements to determine what is in its vicinity. It becomes docile if grabbed by the whiskers.Professor Birch seems to research how pokemon function in the wild. And therefore each region's entries are different. via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2Bj93o9
