"Torchic in Cloudy Conditions: Are Pokemon Spawns Influenced by Dual Types Gained in Later Evolutionary Stages?"

#PokemonGO: Hi all,Even before the recent uptick in Torchic and other Gen 3 spawns, it seems like Torchics (a Fire type) was much more prevalent under cloudy conditions (good for Fighting types, which it gains in later evolutionary stages), not sunny conditions (supposedly good for fire, but which in my travels over the last few weeks, seems to mostly increase spawns of Treecko, not Torchic). I've also noticed what might be slightly more Shroomish spawns in forest biomes during cloudy conditions (Grass, but becomes a dual fighting type). Now that Gen3 spawns seem to be boosted, Torchic seems practically at epidemic levels during cloudy conditions.Anyway, this is all qualitative anecdote, and as a scientist, I was curious if anyone had noticed similar patterns (cough, more qualitative anecdotes) or had any actual quantitative observations to contribute. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2zpWVyX
