"Weather mode looks interesting but Niantic need to consider low graphics mode now more than ever"

#PokemonGO: For those of you playing on old phones you're probably already familiar with graphics issues with Pokemon Go. This often materialises as low frame-rate when faced with a busy area of spawns, too many moves, or when a Pokemon in battle uses a move that has certain particle effects (Psychic and water pulse for example)The addition of weather is really awesome for keeping the game fresh and varied, but from the screenshots it looks like the rain effect and others may cause strain on older phone models.This isn't the first call for low graphics options and probably won't be the last, but I think it's important for Niantic to look into this sooner rather than later. Inevitably as there are more additions to the game it's likely that players using older phones that can't upgrade will find themselves being forced to quit.The weather conundrum has a simple fix - an icon in the corner of the screen with the current weather. This "low-graphics" option could improve performance significantly.Similarly lures/raid-eggs/mons could be displayed as a static image. Sprites could have a 2d or static mode. Combat screens could just display text instead of using animations.There are lots of "low-effort" options to improve the gaming experience for players on older handsets/devices.
