"Who is the more tragic of the two Necrozma or Kyurem? *spoilers*"

Kyurem was once part of a beloved guardian pokemon of Unova but when the two brothers it was in possession of split due to their difference of ideals and truths, The Original Dragon, split in turn. Two of its sides, truth and ideals, went on to become the very healthy and fully realized pokemon Reshiram and Zekrom. The Original dragon became little more than an empty almost zombie like husk called Kyurem.Kyurem wasn't recognizable in this form and the people of Unova didn't know what to make of it. All Kyurem wanted was help getting recompleted but its visage terrified. Instead of help Kyurem they feared it was coming to eat them at night. So they forbid people from going out at night and built up walls, cutting Kyurem off from human contact. The rejected pokemon sauntered off to a nearby cave and there it lived for many years, in pain as it slowly began to freeze because it no longer had the ability to control its power. The sad thing is the DNA splicers that could repair it are apparently an ancient tool existing long ago in the past, meaning repairing Kyurem absolutely was within a group's power but they didn't.Top it off the first human in who knows how long, our BW MC who canonically had one of the dragons, was called out to it by it Kyurem but had no way of understanding what it wanted. Fast forward to BW2 Team Plasma captured it, put it into a horribly painful experiment to draw out its ice powers as a weapon, and then it was finally partially completed only to be used by Ghetsis before being properly saved by the BW2 MC.Next we move onto Necrozma a prism pokemon largely made out of light. It used to fly around ultra space blessing places with its light but it's "home world" for lack of a better descriptor grew greedy for its power. They tried to take Necrozma's light for themselves but instead they horrifically damaged Necrozma. Parts of it body broke away, falling to various versions of alola as sparkling stones that would later create Z-rings with, and it lost its light. The remaining bits of its body assembled themselves into a messed up makeshift form, and it went insane out of the sheer pain it was in. Desperately it tried to regain the light it lost and it started by stealing all the light of people who had ruined it. Then it moved onto other worlds, specifically Alola, however this is where Necrozma's tale diverges. In SM Necrozma arrived in Alola and either did battle with the inhabitants and lost, or just flat out crashed and went into hibernation underground. It wouldn't awaken until many years later still in severe pain where it would be captured by the SM MC.In USUM Necrozma arrived in Alola and 100% did battle with the inhabitants and lost as they used the power of light of their legendary pokemon to banish it. However Lillie proposes that legend is wrong and suspect that Necrozma was willingly given light by the people to try and help it. Either it's a vicious darkness that was beaten back or a wounded creature people tried to help and fail, legends are a tricky thing.Ultimately the Necrozma of USUM returned to Ultra Megaopolis where in the people used their technology to seal it away, and there it remained sealed and in pain always wanting to break out. What was once beloved and envied was now feared and pitied. Fast forward the bonds holding Necrozma down won't last much longer, Lusamine tries to go and stop it before it becomes an issue but only ends up releasing it. Lusting for light for rushed to Alola and tried to take it all, both the legendary pokemon and the literal sunlight/moonlight.This allowed Necrozma to return to its original splendor but as explained this appearance of being complete is a ruse. Necrozma is too far damaged to properly control its powers, it's still in pain and berserking as lust for more and more light. It starts its fight screaming for light and the MC beats it down causing it crash onto Alola to weak to even move. The MC is able to feed it some of their light to restore it to a moving strength and then captures it. At that point Colress appears and gives to us a machine that allows Necrozma to fuse with Sogaleo and Lunala, which backed by some lines to Lillie implies that the two basically create a stable relationship that keeps Necrozma from being in pain. Meanwhile our player is strong enough they can give Necrozma all the light it needs to temporarily return to its splendid true form complete with proper control. Of course it's only temporary Necrozma fades back to its Sogaleo/Lunala form afterwards. So which of these two broken legendaries got the rougher deal? via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2nVXEHy
