"Why Don't All Eevee-lutions Just Evolve By Evolutionary Stones?"

In Red and Blue, Eevee's Pokedex entry states that: "Its genetic code is irregular. It may mutate if it is exposed to radiation from element Stones." Why didn't Game Freak just stick with this? I don't see any reason why they needed to evoke other ways for Eevee to evolve when in almost every generation a new Eevee-lution has been introduced, it could have simply evolved via an Evolutionary stone that already existed!Generation 2: Espeon and UmbreonThe very generation Espeon was introduced, Game Freak introduced the Sun Stone! So, instead of having to meet the requirement of maximum friendship AND leveling up at a specific time of day, they could have just had Eevee evolve into Espeon via Sun Stone and evolve into Umbreon via Moon Stone.Generation 4: Leafeon and GlaceonNow that Game Freak has just introduced Ice Stone, it makes me wonder why they couldn't have just had Eevee evolve into Leafeon via Leaf Stone and introduced Ice Stone in generation 4 for Eevee to evolve into Glaceon. Instead we have to go and level up Eevee in a very specific location. I'm sure players in Sun and Moon would have appreciated being able to have Glaceon MUCH earlier in the campaign!Generation 6: SylveonThis is by far the dumbest evolutionary method for Eevee. It has to reach a certain requirement in Pokemon Amie/Refresh AND level up with a Fairy move. Two words: Shiny Stone. It would save players a LOT of hassle.By doing this, Game Freak would get more use out of the Evolutionary Stones and would have kept Eevee's theme as a Pokemon whose Evolution is provoked by Elemental Stone radiation. What do you guys think? Am I making sense here? via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2imSFKu
