"My attempt at translating Status Effects and Abilities into a Pokemon Go battle rework"
#PokemonGO: Status effects and abilities are two of the most common feature requests for this game, but it can be difficult to envision how the turn-based mechanics would play out in Go's simplified, real-time system. I was feeling creative tonight and decided to see if I could come up with a list of Status Effects, and abilities for all evolved gen 1 Pokemon. My goal was to keep things simple enough that the game can still be played as a tap spammer, but add a little more depth and variety. For each person's favorite pokemon to have something cool and different about it. Don't know if this sub accepts this kind of post, but here's my list of changes and abilities; I'd be happy to hear what you think or what ideas you guys have.Critical hits activated - Deal 50% more damage on a critical hitAll Pokemon should receive Base HP on top of their HP stat, closing the gap between the bulkiest pokemon and the frailest, while also generally slowing down battles to allow for the new Abilities to shineStatus Effects - All status effects have half duration against Raid Bosses with a minimum of 1 secondBurn - The pokemon takes .5% of its HP as damage per second, and deals 25% less damage.
