"Understanding level versus IV"
#PokemonGO: So I was trying to see the difference between a perfect Kyogre and the worst Kyogre (IV wise, that is all 15 versus all 10) to see how many extra levels the worse one needed to be comparable to the perfect one. And I was surprised how little difference it made.My calculations was: Base stat (270,251,182) and then add the IV numbers. Finally multiply the CPm for the level (from about 0.60 at level 20 up to 0.79 at level 40). Correct? If I did not missunderstand it, a level 20 perfect one compare to a level 21 worse case (1 level difference). As one moves up in levels the difference gets larger. A level 30 perfect one compares to a level 32.5 (2.5 level difference). But that is it, a level 37.5 perfect one compares to a level 40 worst case (still 2.5 level difference). Of course, the perfect one can in the end reach level 40 and just be better. So as a somewhat casual player, who basically will just power legendaries up level 30 at most like other Pokemon (and mostly not even that for a long time), I can just sort of not care to much about IV realising it is not that much difference or did I make some errors in calculations?Yes, I know about breakpoints versus specific targets but in the I will use them for many different targets and won't optimize it like that. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2njk6HS
