"Egg distance reset bug fixed! [Proof + Analysis]"

#PokemonGO: So it's been a bug since the beginning of time that interacting with a gym by fighting it, placing a pokemon, feeding it or just looking at a raid would reset the distance you had gained within the 4 minute update interval. But due to the magic of math.... we can see that the two updates that occurred without any gym interactions both took around 244s.Now if we take the known update after the unown one and measure 244s back for the first one we get;13:25:27 - 244s = 13:21:2313:31:48 - 244s = 13:27:44What might have occurred at those times? The start of the gym battles!13:21:2313:27:44So it seems that the fix for the bug is simply to update the egg distance when the battle starts instead of losing it. More testing could probably be done into something like starting a battle and leaving mid fight to see if the distance would still update correctly and whether you could keep updating the egg distance within a short time window. Or how any distance gained during the battle would work.Now all of this is lovely and all but it does bring up another problem. Those game distances compared to the real ones are still very far apart including the ones where a gym interaction never happened.Now some of you might be thinking something along the lines of "but you didn't go in a straight line, of course it will be wrong."
