"I feel completely scammed by the EX raid system"

#PokemonGO: So I've posted on here a few times. Spread my opinions, and generally the only thing that I've ever had an issue with besides at one point being fed up with the inexcusable lag in this game, is the EX system. However, unlike Reversal who lied to get publicity, I'm considering taking an indefinite break from this game, because it seems that's all you need inorder to be rewarded with an EX pass.Let's look at what Niantic said in November.http://ift.tt/2C20Umt Raid Pass This pass grants you access to an EX Raid. This pass can only be used at a specific Gym at a specific time. To receive an EX Raid Pass, you must have successfully completed a raid recently by defeating a Raid Boss at the Gym where the EX Raid Battle will be taking place. To increase your chances of receiving an EX Raid Pass: Join more Raid Battles. The more Raid Battles you successfully complete, the greater your chances to receive an EX Raid Pass. To increase your odds even more, try completing raids at a variety of different Gyms. Earn more Gold Gym Badges. Trainers with a high-level Gym Badge are more likely to be invited to EX Raid Battles taking place at that Gym.Today an EX raid pass went out to a local park gym. It's never gotten an EX pass before, but we knew it was eligible. We as a community just never targeted it because that entire park has 4 gyms that are eligible for an EX pass, and a different park in town has gotten more passes, so we target those consistently. However, this park is closer to my house. I'm gold in the selected gym, and raid there about once a week on the weekend. In total I've done maybe 20-30 raids there since raids were released (During the rainy weekends I generally didn't go there). Now, my issue isn't that someone else got a pass over me. Normally I don't complain about that. I don't care if I have gold or bronze, or someone else does. If they did a raid there, they deserve to get a pass. That simple. However, they didn't have even bronze. In fact, they interacted with the gym back in July via their GO+ when they visited a friend that lives nearby. They mentioned they believe the gym was their color and full, otherwise they'd likely have put a Pokemon in it. Zero raids done, zero badge experience.They... got the EX pass. The catch as well is they don't even live near the gym. In fact, they'd have to buy a plane ticket to come participate. Needless to say, they aren't going to.I have sat here for countless times seeing people do just one raid a get a pass. I've been wanting to earn a pass, and then have people ask me what the hell the pass even is. I have helped out my community by researching on the Silph Road how to successfully trigger an EX raid. It worked... and I got excluded. I have spent many nights going around town taking gyms. I've even had people get pissed off at me for taking a gym from them, even if they were in it for a few hours because they wanted Gold as well. I also was told, by an article written by Niantic, that I would increase my chances of getting a pass by raiding more.During the last sale, I bought over 100 raid passes. I'm down to 50 (I get off work while the last eggs are hatching on weekdays). That's about 71 raids in the past 3 weeks when the sale was still going on.I've pushed harder and further into increasing my chances to getting an EX pass. Then last week, after reading some of the popular reddit users posts, I learn that this entire time I've thought I was increasing my chances, the studies have shown that I've significantly decreased my chances at getting an EX pass.Last week, I did a raid at a gym that has never received a pass. About 50 people got the pass. I've been gold there since late July, and did 3 raids there that week. Got excluded. People from out of town that NEEDED DIRECTIONS got a pass. The gym is the central hub of my city. Anyone that's been to my city knows where that area is at. You literally cannot miss it as every entrance and exit to my city drives right by it.I'm hoping the outage this morning is what caused the algorithm to haywire and passes get sent out for raids... err... Gymstop spins done many months ago. I'll give Niantic a few days to make a statement or do another wave of EX passes that seem like it follows their system. But I plan on using up my raid passes. I bought them with my hard earned money. I'm going to use them. But I will not spend another dime on this game until I stop getting punished for being a loyal customer. I've played EVERYDAY since DAY ONE of this game. Even when I badly hurt my knee last winter to where I couldn't walk, I still logged in to play this game. If I run out of passes before I get an EX invite, I'm done. Gone. Quitting.Mewtwo isn't the reason I play this game. But it may be the reason I quit. I'm tired of feeling scammed when I do everything to increase my chances of getting a pass and it seems to only decrease my chances. I'm tired of seeing people getting a pass that don't even care about it. I'm tired of, now 14 times in a row being excluded from a gym I'm gold at and did a raid at with other people that got the pass. I'm just done. It hasn't made me happy to log in anymore knowing that this incompetent company excludes it's most dedicated players. It's funny, when I first started becoming vocal about my disgust for this system, people that said "we don't have a pass" are now receiving their third... in the past two weeks.Fix your EX raid system Niantic. Hopefully quests are somewhat challenging and replace this broken ass system. But seeing people that simply spun a stop get a pass over someone that frequently raids at a location and has gold there... I have little to no hope that Niantic will actually make this game what we want it to be. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2BgFfKW
