"Anyone else finding it increasingly hard to stay interested in Pokémon?"

This is something I’ve noticed in the past year or so, whenever I try to get back into playing Pokémon, I fall out of it again extremely quickly.It’s hard for me to go back to old games because I’m so used to the mechanics and features of the new ones, I tried getting into competitive, but it was so time consuming I didn’t see the point. I had fun beating the Pokédex and after I did that I almost totally lost interest.It really makes me sad because I still feel excited when I see like artwork of Pokémon or when I see people discussing how cool a Pokémon is or when I get a pack of Pokémon cards with a box of fruit roll ups (lol).Probably doesn’t help this whole situation that I don’t have a switch and I’m sure if it’s worth it considering how much everything costs.Do you guys feel the same way? Do you have any suggestions on how to keep my love for the series? Sorry for any rule violations, this is my first time posting here.
