"PSA: The current ultra box, which leaves the store today, is the cheapest we've ever seen raid passes"
#PokemonGO: Raid passes usually cost 100 coins. The current Ultra box is 1480 coins and contains 24 raid passes. Even if you place no value on the other stuff in the box or will have to delete it for bag space, this is a discount on raid passes of about 38%. The best we've seen previously is 25%.Put another way: In the US, at full price, a $100 coin purchase gets you 145 passes. If you buy the typical raid pass sale box, which is 480 coins for 6 passes, you get 180 passes for $100.During this sale, $100 buys you 240 passes. We may see this pricing again; Niantic has already given us the marquee legendaries of Gen 3, and enthusiasm has been lower since we're raiding the Eon Duo through May, which are strictly inferior to Rayquaza as Dragon type attackers. After that, we've probably got the Regis, none of which will play a noteworthy role in the raid meta or the gym meta, unless Niantic implements major gameplay changes to make defensively-statted Pokemon more relevant. Raid activity is also down as a result of scanner maps being disabled. As a result, Niantic may try to use more sales to boost interest in raids. But, alternatively, Niantic may try other tactics, such as releasing highly-anticipated Gen 4 legendaries sooner than we expect, or bringing Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza back with shiny forms and signature moves. But we might not see another sale focused on raid pass discounts this deep before some attractive raid boss.If you plan to go WAFU anytime soon, you may want to stock up at this price. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2HFZi6u
