"[Question] are the PTC servers SNAFU'ed again?"

#PokemonGO: saw there was in issue earlier today. was out for the evening, playing on my iphone, using cell data network. once home and back on wifi, my game crapped out with network errors, then failed to connect to server and "try another account". upon attempting to log in again, it sits there for 5 minutes and returns "unable to authenticate, please try again". i get this on my phone, whether using cellular data or wifi. i also get the same on my ipad, which only uses wifi.any thoughts?
