"What do you think a “min-meta” Level 35 player should have?"

#PokemonGO: EDIT: To perhaps soften the title question, what I'm asking has more to do with how individuals in this community might define something (a "meta-relevant" or "meta-conscious" player). Not necessarily that a player of a certain level should or must have or do certain things. It's more about the fact that this community is dedicated to maxing every "meta" element of game play and we all have various definitions of what "meta" is. So given this, the question is "what is the minimum you personally believe a player would need to do or know to make it into your personal definition of a meta-relevant/meta-conscious player." Looking for thoughts on definitions, not implying any kind of judgement, gate-keeping, or elitism. Thanks for all the feedback so far! My wife is 1.7 million stardust and wants to powerup effectively and enjoyably when she hits 35.I’m Level 38, my wife is almost to Level 35, and I realize much of this community has already blown past Level 40. But I’m setting the benchmark at Level 35 for practicality’s sake. Now, my question is based on a few assumptions:If you’re Level 35+, you are probably raiding and engaging with fellow players to at least some degree. Both self-respect and your fellow players would like to see you contribute more than non-meta, midrange CP fodder to raids.Aside from certain raids though, the meta isn’t so crucial that a player who doesn’t invest every bit of stardust into the top meta battlers can’t still enjoy the game and be successful in gyms.Powering up a team of random 100% Pokémon or of a favored type (like the gym bosses in the game) is often one of the most enjoyable parts of the game. With those assumptions in mind (being valuable at raids and the fun of powering up personal favorites), what do you think a “min-meta” player should look like? As in, “as long as the Level 35 player has a team of level X A’s, a team of level X B’s, and a team of level X C’s ready to go, then they should feel zero guilt in pouring millions of stardust into whatever non-meta Pokémon tickle their fancy.”(And let’s not assume they have several of each legendary.) via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2rOS9Jy
