"[Discussion] So who's had the cops roll up on them while playing?"
#PokemonGO: I've had them roll up on my wife and I four separate times now, and various security guards over ten.We both always have our carry guns in the car wherever we go and we always have the same routine with police. Whenever they roll up. Guns go on the dash before the cop starts walking up to the car. As soon as they approach I keep hands at 10 and 2 on the steering wheel and say, "Hello officer, I'm just letting you know that we are open carrying legal firearms. They are here on the dash. How do you wish us to proceed?"Without fail, the cops are always polite and grateful that we informed them. Only one ever asked to run the guns info. All the rest just asked us our business for sitting in idling car outside closed businesses and churches for extended periods. And as soon as we mention Pokemon Go they instantly understand and wish us luck. One even mentioned he used to play but quit awhile ago. And so far, every one of them was happy that we spoke respectfully, politely, and showed concern for their safety and ours that we haven't gotten any tickets or warnings. The security guards have come to know us and give a wave as they scoot by us in their golf carts. Although occasionally we've had a few Paul Blart types who like to flex their polyester. We usually just stalled them until we've done what we were there to do then rolled on.Oh yeah, and we once had a busybody type store owner come out and yell at us as a group of us were doing a raid battle. She had one small store in a strip mall. The parking spots were streetside across a sidewalk from a public bus stop. None of the spots were marked private or handicapped so we ignored her as she huffed and puffed.Anyone else have interesting encounters while playing? via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2IlRntZ
