"Receiving your 50 coins a day without being defeated"

#PokemonGO: Is there any reason why we shouldn't be able to receive our 50 coins at the end of the day even if none of our Gym Pokemon were knocked out?I ran into a situation recently where I had about 10 Gyms occupied and none of them were taken back until the next day. For the first day I received no coins, and the next day when they were all knocked out I received only my 50 max coins (whereas if you were to take what they all earned it would be much, much more.) Why couldn't we receive our 50 max coins at the end of the day if our Gym Pokemon have earned that much instead of wasting it all the next day when you hit the cap? It just feels like I'm being encouraged to take Gyms, but not TOO many Gyms lest I knock out all my Pokemon at once for only 50 coins whereas I could get much more by spacing it out and only taking a few. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2Lb2tDP
