"[COMPLAINT] Pokemon Go Disaster - warning for everyone to remember about safety of their accounts"
#PokemonGO: TL:DR: Lost my best Pokemons, all items and much stardust coz someone stole my email and password without my knowledge. It's (probably) not a long story. Probably you heard about situations like that once or twice. But it's painfull for me and I must write it here, for the warning to anyone. It happened two days ago. I was playing as always when something interesting is on the raids - this time it was Ho-Oh, nice break between Regis. Done 10 or 15, came back home and after some minutes opened up with intention to buy some coins for next day, maybe some boxes, coz I was in need for Lucky Eggs and Raid Passes - exp is super important for me. Accidentially I opened my Pokemon storage. And my heart stopped. From my account dissapeared my 6 maxed out Tyranitars. I thouhgt that it was maybe I accidentially clicked on some filters or so, but they wasn't there as long as I was looking for them anywhere. There was no time to think more about that, opened up my PC and as fast as I could and changed password, then log out all my sessions. But it was too late. Pokemon Go is not working like that, if you are logged up and playing, problem with logging in are visible only when you restart the app.First, after my Tyranitars, disappeared my Snorlaxes, Blisseys. Then nearly all Machamps, Hariyamas, Groudons, Rayquazas, Kyogres, Mewtwos - all worthy about 5 million stardust spended on powerups of them. Then some 100ivs, some crap but I loved them. Only one shiny. And at last - my Holy Grail, first EXraid fully powered up 98iv Mewtwo. My heart brokes completely.I was observing what's happening on my account with pain, then brilliant idea cames up – I opened Journal. This little... was trading everything to his account (what couldn't be trade was just transferred, if you don't get it). He wasn't even trying to hide his nick. He got my e-mail in some way and got also my password - I don't know how, but not from me. Of course, he renamed me – it was so original and funny too.But it wasn't the end of his work of destruction. I had on my account about 9000 PokeCoins. All stacked up to buy boxes if there will be any good with Raid Passes somewhere in future. Had also 2000 items, about 700 Revives/Max Revives, 300+ Max Potions, 200 Golden Razz Berries, some Lucky Eggs, 50 Rare Candies, 20+ Incense and a lot of evolution stones and Poke Balls, Great and Ultra too. He bought probably few sets of items with that stacked money and deleted it. All items got deleted. What remains were Raid Passes and Incubators. 39/2000 - only that many survived. Also, he used about about 2000 Larvitar candies to powerup shitty IVs only for that he could delete it or trade this. And from 4,7mln stradust I had, I now have about 1,7mln.And what's best of it? I wrote e-mail to Niantic. Half official, half emotional. About everything that you just read. And their only response was ordinary copypaste, about changing passwords and such stuff. And that they can't reimburse me Pokemon, Pokecoins and items. I heard that giving back mons is probably impossible, but...My questions: if they can't repay, so how on earth they recompensate players that went to last year Go Fest 1000 Pokecoins? If they can't give back items, so how on earth they giving back Raid Passes, Lucky Eggs or Star Pieces if you write e-mail to support? It's all lies. It's not that they don't know how to do it or they don't have needed abilities to do it - the only don't want to do it. They are trying to tell me that the don't have any reports or informations what happened on my account? Is it okay for everyone? You still want to be treated like that?I don't know when it will end. I will still be playing, writing to Niantic about all that, trying to contact with the antihero of this story to get back cash, my family town group of players are plotting to write mass ticket to NIA about what happened two days ago. Maybe something will change, maybe not.If you want to help, feel free. If not, it's okay - mainly my stupidity caused that armageddon. And remember one thing - keep your passwords for only yourself and change them often. In other case, something like that will happen again. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2MwVhXC
